There’s nothing that says your own party is turning against you better than a colleague from your home state brutally throwing you under the bus. That’s the treatment Ilhan Omar got the other day. When someone at the National Republican Congressional Committee quizzed a Democrat lawmaker from Minnesota about why he Defended Omar, Collin Peterson didn’t give the answer he was expecting. The blast Peterson fired off left nothing but the smoking remains of two stumps sticking up out of smoking shoes. The Muslim who once allegedly married her brother, is diving for shelter as the back-draft engulfs her political career.
Ilhan Omar isn’t popular with Democrats either
The chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, Minnesota Democrat Collin Peterson, didn’t have much to say about one controversial Democrat lawmaker from his home state. A staffer with the Republican Congressional Committee wanted a quote for a story he was working on and thought his question was routine. “Do you have any comment as to why you defended Ilhan Omar?”
The answer Rep. Peterson blasted back caught him totally off guard. “I don’t defend her. She doesn’t belong in our party.” That was blunt. The young interviewer stammered a request for clarification on that. Peterson looked at him like “don’t you understand English?” Peterson repeated, “she doesn’t belong in our party,” and strolled off. The liberal media scrambled to defend Ilhan, calling his insult “an attempt to distance himself from the progressive left flank of his party.”
Oh, don’t mind him, they spin, he just faces “a brutal challenge from GOP candidate, former Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Michelle Fischbach.” You can ignore what he says because he doesn’t mean it, he’s just lying about Ilhan to gain points with the moderates, you can trust what he says on everything else though, he only lies when it suits him. Sounds like they’re throwing him under the bus by questioning his integrity.

Activists instead of legislators
Even liberal Democrats at the Post are starting to admit that “Peterson’s criticism of Omar follows that from establishment Democrats who in conversations with The Post have privately dismissed the House’s famous ‘Squad’ of female lawmakers as ‘activists’ rather than legislators who can work across the aisle.” Ilhan just can’t seem to escape her shadow.
Ilhan Omar has been “bogged down by scandals throughout her first term in Congress, ranging from marital and potential campaign finance issues to accusations that she married her brother.” Everyone is wondering, since she’s such a big believer in Sharia law, why she hasn’t been stoned to death by her neighbors yet. They frown on adultery. Omar is currently taking off her turban for one of her paid campaign staffers. Both of them were married to other people when they started sleeping together. When the pictures came out in the press, Omar’s husband had enough and split.
The tangled tale of Ilhan Omar’s love life started when she Sharia divorced without telling anybody her first husband, so she could marry her brother and help get him U.S. citizenship. After that was well taken care of, she went back to hubby number 1 after another quickie Sharia divorce and remarriage, all off the record. The only problem was she fudged her taxes to hide it. Once she paid the fines for that, the case was closed. Everyone in America is wondering when she’ll face justice for the rest of her crimes. What we are learning is that we have no laws in America anymore. Only anarchy.
