Shop NowGood Samaritan turned vigilante Daniel Penny is being charged in the death of Jordan Neely.
If you missed the story in the news, Penny is the Marine that put Neely in a headlock on the New York City subway system.
Neely was acting threatening, so Penny jumped in to subdue him, holding him in a headlock for 15 minutes before police arrived.
Charge Him!
Everyone is watching this case.
The right is saying that the death of Neely falls on Eric Adams for not having enough police on trains.
When you consider it took 15 minutes for anyone to respond to the call, that is a tough argument to debunk.
The left wanted murder charges, so they are already upset that Alvin Bragg is only pursuing manslaughter charges.
Several Democrats have jumped all over this, accusing Penny of murder.
I guess they would have preferred that Neely be left along to assault someone else.
Neely was clearly mentally ill and had a record with dozens of charges, including previous assault charges.
The fact of the matter is that man should have been committed, but he was out roaming the streets, and this was the result.
Penny will have little trouble affording his attorney, as his legal defense fund already had more than $1 million in it this weekend, with some very high-profile conservatives bucking up to help him win this case.
