The word has been spreading for the past week that North Korea sent troops to fight in Ukraine alongside the Russians. It’s been confirmed. Along with a big snag. They can’t speak any Russian. Observers have more than a few interesting things to say about the development. The war in Ukraine might even be over by the time Zelenskyy gets his $50 billion loan of Russian money from G7.

North Korea enters the war

Troops from North Korea fighting side-by-side with Russian forces in Ukraine proves that we really are inching closer to World War III.

Reading between the lines, there’s even more to infer from the move. After rumors of the troop deployment swirled like a housefly in a hurricane, they’ve been confirmed in a sideways manner.

Russia plans to assign one interpreter to every 30 North Korean soldiers for better coordination with Russian troops on the battlefield.

Any coordination would be better than what they have now, which involves a lot of pointing and swearing. Russian sargents can call a foot soldier from North Korea whatever they want, since the conscripts don’t understand a word of it.

That brings up another interesting point. The “nearly 12,000” alleged “volunteers” including “500 officers and three generals,” probably weren’t the cream of the crop.

Since their survival chances dropped to un-insurable levels the moment they boarded the transport plane, it’s a safe bet that North Korea hand picked the lazy and opinionated ones for this dirty job. They don’t need to understand much except get out of the truck, here, and shoot anyone who moves.

They can’t speak any Russian.

K Battalion

An “intercepted conversation between service members of a Russian brigade in Kursk Oblast” uncovered the contribution from North Korea. The first batch of relief recruits were spotted “on a base in Russia” A video recorded October 23 is making the social media rounds.

The wiretapped transmission verifies that the Russians are calling North Korean soldiers the “K Battalion.” The Kremlin thinks that they have the situation under control.

Each 30 member unit will have it’s own interpreter. They will also have 3 Russian soldiers to show them how to use the Russian equipment. Experts inside the Kremlin are expressing “doubts” about “the possibility of carrying this out in practice.

North Korea has been swearing up and down that they don’t have any soldiers in Russia. The Kremlin simply “provided an evasive response.

Another thing that both the Russians and the North Koreans are anxious about is desertion. North Korea isn’t an easy country to get out of. It’s worth risking your life for a chance to go anywhere else. One of the things those 3 Russian soldiers per unit are tasked with is shooting anyone who tries to run.

There’s a huge incentive for everyone from North Korea to drop their weapons and surrender. To the first Ukrainian they see, even a civilian. Babbling in North Korean “please help me I’ve been starving for months, they kidnapped me and made me wear this uniform.
