New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is receiving intense backlash after claiming that critics of her recent actions were mad that they couldn’t date her.
AOC was caught red-handed vacationing in Florida while her constituents in New York City were living in hell. NYC is facing skyrocketing crime rates and skyrocketing COVID cases, all the while, the Democrat congresswoman is relaxing maskless with her boyfriend in the Sunshine State.
National Review reported: “Ocasio-Cortez was spotted dining in Miami Beach, Fla., on Thursday, according to a tip received by National Review, on the same day that her native New York City reported a record number of Covid-19 cases. Photos obtained by National Review show Ocasio-Cortez seated outside Doraku Sushi and Izakaya in Miami Beach Thursday afternoon, raising a cocktail in one and checking her phone in another.”
People took to Twitter to criticize Ocasio-Cortez for her hypocrisy, with one particular tweet going viral. Former Trump Adviser Steve Cortes wrote:

AOC had a particularly bizarre and narcissistic response to the criticism, claiming that her Republican critics are “mad they can’t date me” and accusing them of “projecting their sexual frustrations” onto her boyfriend.
“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos,” the congresswoman tweeted.
“It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women, & LGBT+ people in general. These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird,” she added.

Soon after she tweeted her response, AOC was hit with a reality check: no one was criticizing her because they wanted to date her.
