For the first time in forever, encounters were down for a single month.
Big News for Biden
Biden has been holding back on these numbers being released, usually on the third or fourth Friday of the month.
January numbers finally showed a significant decrease, coming in at 150,000 for the month.
That is 100,000 less than December.
That would also explain why the numbers were released on a Tuesday during the first full week of the month.
This is the lowest number we have seen in almost two years.
During February 2021, just after Biden took office, there were 101,000 encounters, and it basically rose every month thereafter.
I am glad to see the numbers going down, but this credit does not all go to Joe Biden and his administration.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been busting his tail to get the Texas border on lockdown, but he will never get any credit from this administration for doing so.
