Shop NowWe are now only a month away from voters heading to the polls for the midterm elections.
In what once seemed improbable, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) may be out.
Kelly C. Tshibaka is now the odds-on favorite to win the Senate election in Alaska.
DTS
Murkowski is typical of the Democrats that had Trump Derangement Syndrome.
She got to the point that she was siding with Democrats on just about everything.
For instance, she was among only a handful of Senators that voted in favor of Secretary Mayorkas during his confirmation hearings.
Tshibaka, a Trump-backed Republican challenger, has had a tough go of it, but she has emerged as the leader only weeks away from the election.
Forecasters at FiveThirtyEight are now projecting that Tshibaka is the 53 percent favorite to win this race.
Keep in mind, however, there is still a wildcard left in this race.
Democrat Patricia Chesbro is still in this race and pulling down enough voters to make a difference.
She is a wildcard in that if a candidate does not get 50 percent on the first ballot, Chesbro, who is well in third place, will be removed and the second choice on her ballot will be used to decide the winner of the race.
It would appear that FiveThirtyEight sees the majority of those votes going to Tshibaka.
