Shop NowOver the last few days, we have all seen the wildfires in Hawaii.
They have caused complete devastation in Maui.
Now, a once-historical area in Lahaina is all but gone.
Much Worse
Currently, 53 people have been declared dead, but that total is going to rise significantly.
If you have seen the pictures, people have been recovered in cars as they were trying to get away, burnt to death where they sat.
One person stated that she saw someone burned alive just leaning against a building.
Hawaii Gov. Josh Green stated, “Lahaina, with a few rare exceptions, has been burned down.”
He also knows that once the cleanup begins, they are going to find a lot more bodies around the island.
So far, more than 1,000 buildings have been destroyed, and the fires are still burning.
Adam Weintraub, a spokesperson for Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, stated, “We are still in life preservation mode. Search and rescue is still a primary concern.”
This used to be one of the most beautiful places in our entire country, and now it is just nothing more than ash.
