I last flew about six years ago and I can tell you, the TSA doesn’t have time for your crap.
I hate to be blunt about it, but that’s how things just are.
Take a look at the number of people that go through the average airport on a given day.
Every last person that is going past a certain point has to be looked over at the very least on a nominal level by the TSA.
Sure, the TSA agents have a whole list of problems that I don’t feel getting into at this time, but they have a pretty difficult job and there are a lot of them that are genuinely trying to do the right thing.
Which is why when I see some people that have a horrible case of main character syndrome and think that the TSA is specifically out to get them personally I have to laugh.
Yes, you have to take your shoes off just like everyone else. Yes, put your bag in the little rubber bin. No, we don’t care who you are.
This sort of stuff means that a lot of the time certain details during the TSA’s interaction with you that could be fast forwarded through, like whether or not that’s a man or a woman standing in front of them.
Recently, a transgender woman absolutely lost her mind online when describing the issues that she faces when flying and openly called the TSA as an organization transphobic.
In a video that quickly racked up over a million views she ripped the organization a new one for making her uncomfortable.
Apparently the rant in question was spawned from an incident during a recent experience at an airport where the “woman” went through the body scanner meant for women and needless to say the TSA were a little more than surprised when a penis showed up on the body scanner.
So of course this person is going to rake the TSA agents over the coals.
I mean, this is something that could have been solved with one conversation with a supervisor but at the end of the day these transgenders need to realize that not everyone can or will bend over backwards for them.
