Without actually admitting any guilt or anything, ABC News agreed to pay $15 million. That puts a quiet end to the lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump for the nasty lies George Stephanopoulos was telling about him.

ABC News settles with Trump

President Donald Trump wasn’t about to let ABC News get away with the terrible things they were saying about him. The despicable things George Stephanopoulos spewed on the air cost them a whopping $15 million.

They aren’t writing a check directly to Trump. Instead, they’re calling it a “donation” to the fund for Trump’s “presidential foundation and museum.

Liberal networks got out of the habit of checking their own facts before they toss them out to the public. All ABC cares about is red meat, dripping with blood to feed their hungry viewers. When it’s Trump’s blood, that makes it exceptionally tasty to Democrats.

The case brought by alleged writer E Jean Carroll was pure fiction and the court was biased against Trump from the beginning. While she emerged victorious from that legal battle, the war is far from over. The decision is expected to be soon overturned.

In any case, ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos flat out lied when he declared Trump had been “found liable for raping” the misguided plaintiff. The actual charge was “sexual abuse” and it’s completely and utterly bogus. Trump instantly sued the network and Stephanopoulos in Miami federal court.

The lawsuit noted that the lies weren’t one isolated incident. “The longtime Good Morning America anchor and This Week host repeatedly misstated the verdicts in Carroll’s two civil lawsuits against Trump.

Legal fees, too

Along with forking over $15 megabucks to the Trump Foundation, ABC owes another $1 million in fees for Trump’s lawyers. Also, they have to make a formal apology.

According to documents filed on Saturday, December 14, “the network and the anchor also agreed to offer public apologies for the comments during a live This Week interview with Representative Nancy Mace.

Now that the election is over, all the Trumped up legal cases pending against the President have been tossed in the trash. The only point of them in the first place was to sway the public to vote against him. It clearly didn’t work. ABC wasn’t the only one out to get Trump using dirty tricks.

In November, a federal court of appeals “dismissed charges against Trump related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House.” Joe Biden was already reported guilty of the same thing by a special prosecutor but incompetent to stand trial.

Special persecutor Jack Smith, who likes to dress as an evil Time Lord, had to tuck his reptilian tail between his legs and beg the court to dismiss his case as pointless and moot. He was trying to use Trump’s doubt as to the accuracy of the 2020 election results as a reason to keep people from voting for him this time.

There’s no point in beating that dead horse, Smith acknowledged to the court. ABC News sure won’t be playing fast and loose with the soundbites for quite a while after this.
