ICYMI: Love him or hate him, President Donald Trump is a rising star in the polls. The recent indictment and political witch hunt after Trump and his family have done nothing to slow his rise in the polls. Most Republicans see him as the best contender to defeat President Joe Biden in the 2024 election.
CBS News has released a poll that shows the former president holding his largest lead ever over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, his biggest contender in the Republican primary. Among likely GOP primary voters, Trump holds a commanding 38-point advantage over his rival. He is also up by 61 percent in overall support…and that percentage continues to climb!

The poll surveyed 586 adults across the united states between June 7th and June 10th. This was immediately following Trump’s indictment in the case about his handling of classified documents stored at his Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago. The poll illustrated that most Republican voters see the charges as politically motivated as Trump is the biggest competitor against the leftist agenda of the current Presidency.

From CBS News:
In fact, most Republican primary voters would not generally consider him keeping the alleged documents with nuclear systems or military plans to be a national security risk, in and of itself.
Most explicitly ruled out the charges announced in the indictment changing their views about Mr. Trump. Rather than being disqualifying in their eyes, even if he’s ultimately convicted of a crime in the matter, they overwhelmingly feel he should still be able to serve as president again.

Although he has garnered national support, most Republican voters do not want to hear President Trump speak about the charges against him so often. Instead, voters are asking for more focus on the economy, immigration, and plans for the country moving forward.
The majority of people in America want something to fight for, rather than against and bring hope and a drive for better back into the heart of the national conversation.
