Abortion has been a point that has hurt Republicans in past elections.
To that point, Trump believes that if DeSantis tries to push the same 6-week ban he just passed in Florida, it could doom the party.
Too Extreme
I happen to agree with Trump on this one, as most moderates will never go for six weeks, and that is what we need to lure into this election to win.
Trump stated, “He has to do what he has to do.
“If you look at what DeSantis did, a lot of people don’t even know if he knew what he was doing.
“But he signed six weeks, and many people within the pro-life movement feel that that was too harsh.”
Trump did not allow himself to get nailed down on a specific time frame, as I am sure he putting out feelers to see what people would go for.
If Trump expects to get any of that pro-life money, he will gave to come in around 12 to 15 weeks.
Anything longer, and they will avoid him and stick with DeSantis.
Regardless of how long it is, they have to make sure they include exceptions or they will get crushed by both sides.
