Border officials have already started to partake in mass releases of several hundred migrants at a time to the El Paso city streets.
Mexican police escorted nearly 20 buses full of migrants into the Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez just before the huge caravan reached the US border. Ciudad Juarez is located acrossthe border from El Paso. The Mexican police released the migrants to various non-governmental organizations. Most are political organizations or even cartel-affiliated organizations that help these people cross the border in various ways.
After the migrants were released to these private organizations they then walked from these non-governmental organizations’ locations and crossed illegally into El Paso.
