South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is quickly becoming one of the most prominent conservative voices in the Republican party. She will likely need to begin wearing a wrist brace, for repetitive strain injury considering the way she flips the Biden Administration the Bird on a near daily basis. In celebration of #InternationalWomensDay Gov. Noem announced that the South Dakota Senate passed the Women’s Fairness in Sports bill (HB 1217) by a 20-15 margin. Fox News reported that, “State Rep. Rhonda Milstead introduced the bill, which passed the South Dakota House 50-17 in February, according to KOTA TV“.
The sentiment seems to be spreading in other Republican-controlled states as Fox News also wrote that “Further South, the Mississippi House passed a bill 81-28 earlier in March to ban transgender athletes from competing on girls’ and women’s sports teams. ”
Governor Noem tweeted, ““In South Dakota, we’re celebrating #InternationalWomensDay by defending women’s sports! I’m excited to sign this bill very soon,” on Monday. Responses on Twitter were mixed but it was fairly clear that patriots applaud this measure while the LGBTQ Social-Democrat leftists let loose an ear-rending “REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!”

Protecting Women’s Rights to Compete
The new law HB 1217 is two fold, first it prohibits participation in female only team or sport by anyone other than biological females. The law furthermore sets up similar reliefs and prohibitions against the inevitable leftist retaliation that you would see in sexual harassments laws. The first portion reads in part,
“Any athletic team or sport that is sponsored or sanctioned by a public school, a school district, an association meeting the requirements of § 13-36-4, or an institution of higher education under the control of the Board of Regents or the South Dakota Board of Technical Education must be expressly designated as being:
(1) A male team or sport;
(2) A female team or sport; or
(3) A coeducational team or sport.
A team or sport designated as being female is available only to participants who are female, based on their biological sex, as verified in accordance with § 13-67-2.”
The protection against retaliation reads,
“If a student is subjected to retaliation or other adverse action, as a result of reporting a violation of this Act to an employee or representative of a school, school district, institution of higher education, athletic association or organization, or to a state or federal governmental entity having oversight authority, that student has a private cause of action for injunctive relief, damages, and any other relief available under law, against the school, school district, institution of higher education, or athletic association or organization.”
Reactions to Gov. Noem Left & Right
The reactions were varied on Twitter, most were predictable from the left and right, but some were extremely surprising. Kyle Beck an independent journalist supported the measure and replied to the haters.
Why do all Woke people argue like toddlers? Go to your room and no screen time the rest of the day!

Surprisingly Twitter user “Black Together Again” whose twitter bio reads: “Black, unapologetically. Lesbian. Prosecutor. Sports lover. Yes it is. Don’t follow if fragile about racism/sexism/homophobia. Pronouns: Don’t/Belong/To You” praised the move.
Excellent. You will be pilloried for this, but you know you are right. Women & girls deserve to have our sex-based rights protected, and you are showing courage once again. It is much appreciated.

Evangelical leader Franklin Graham followed suit tweeting his support. Tweeting “May God bless Gov Kristi Noem & South Dakota!”
I know many parents, students, & families will be relieved & grateful that biological males cannot unfairly walk away with the wins & the scholarships that girls & young women have worked so hard for & deserve. May God bless @GovKristiNoem & South Dakota! https://t.co/7eRNWzpKer
