A Democrat state lawmaker has made horrific threats to Trump supporters in a shocking video she posted to Facebook.
Democrat Politician Gives Threats to Trump Supporters
Cynthia Johnson is a Michigan state representative and has been removed from her committee assignments which include her role on the House Oversight Committee.
The angry Democrat posted a video a little over three minutes long where she made threats to Trumpers.
Johnson said, “This is just a warning to you Trumpers. Be careful, walk lightly, we ain’t playing with you. Enough of the shenanigans. Enough is enough.”
“For those of you who are soldiers, you know how to do it. Do it right, be in order, make them pay,” her ominous message continued.
Actions Have Consequences
She has taken down the videos after mass backlash to her sickening threats.
Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield, a Republican, condemned her comments and announced she would be removed from her seats on the House Agriculture, Oversight and the Families, Children and Seniors committees.
Despite being very clear in her remarks, the Democrat lawmaker tried to make excuses for her actions.
“In my community, we often use the term soldier, but when we use the term, it means for people to rise up and not just take BS. It doesn’t mean anything violent. Our ‘rise up’ means rise up against racism, against tyranny, rise up against violence. No, my message was not one that was intended against the Trump people. We are talking about peace and unity,” she told MLive.
No Apologies Given
She by no means apologized but rather said she does not regret threatening Trump supporters.
Adding that Chatfield did not give her a heads up before she was stripped of her committee assignment, she said she does not want them back.
“They’ve given me more time to do what I need to do, and that is to help people. So thank you for making me nationally known. Thank you for putting racism on the record,” Johnson said.
