Rank and file FBI agents are growing increasingly frustrated that Hunter Biden hasn’t been charged with a single crime, despite an investigation which started years ago. At least as far back as 2018. The bureau had evidence of criminal activity long before they got their hands on his laptop. Since then, a couple of Hunter’s business partners came forward to rat him out. All the while, the Treasury Department kept collecting a stack of “suspicious activity reports” on Biden family cash transactions with foreign governments, Each of the 150 or so reports were for a transaction which the banks considered shady enough to flag.

Growing FBI frustration

New York Post is reporting on Friday, April 21, that there’s “growing frustration” within the FBI. Rank and file agents are concerned “about the amount of time prosecutors are spending weighing possible criminal charges” against Hunter Biden.

There’s already more than enough to bring counts of tax evasion and lying on his handgun screening form. That one is good for up to 15 years in prison all by itself. Everyone knows he’ll never see a penalty that stiff. The way things are going, Hunter will get off scot free on everything.

NBC gets credit for the initial reports about “investigators’ mounting exasperation.” The story broke mere days “after an IRS whistleblower who had supervised the tax probe since early 2020 contacted Congress through an attorney alleging a cover-up in the case.” That’s not all he’s alleging.

NBC quotes “two sources” to report that the FBI, especially agents of their Baltimore field office who “led the Hunter Biden investigation,” are demanding some answers. They “finished the bulk of their work on the case about a year ago.” One was aware that “the IRS finished its investigation” of Hunter’s tax issues “more than a year ago.” What are they waiting for?

Over in Delaware, the U.S. Attorney’s Office has been considering “four possible charges.” Two are “misdemeanor counts of failing to file taxes.” One is “a felony count of evading taxes relating to a business expense.” Finally, there’s the “gun-purchase charge.

None of those are anything close to the real crimes the Biden family appears to be involved in. The FBI is sitting on all sorts of evidence regarding influence peddling and corruption which has serious national security consequences. We already know about the $3 million that came in to Rob Hunter and was split three ways with a third going to the Bidens.

IRS whistleblower in the wings

The reports of frustrated FBI agents comes hard on the heels of an IRS whistleblower who went public with a lawyer. Attorney Mark Lytle is asking permission from Congress for his client to be allowed to talk to him, so he can advise a way to proceed. That tricky procedure is a built in part of the rules.

The permission is expected to be granted any time now. Lytle’s client “wants to come forward to expose preferential treatment” in the Hunter Biden case. He’s already filed “complaints to the Treasury and Justice departments’ watchdogs.

Another thing the witness wants to disclose is evidence which will “expose false statements to Congress.” Ones told by a “senior political appointee.” Word around the campfire is that it’s none other than Merrick Garland who’s been lying to Congress.

Probably about the special prosecutor in Delaware having all the authority he needs, even in other jurisdictions. That might not sound like much but it’s important to Congress. The FBI has been taking a whole lot of heat from the House lately.

Conservatives on a couple of the oversight committees have been hauling FBI agents all the way up to Director Christopher Wray in for questioning. They even dragged Merrick Garland up on the stand to grill him about whether David Weiss “truly was able to bring a case without the approval of other officials for crimes that may have occurred outside of Delaware.” Twice now, Garland has “assured senators that Delaware US Attorney David Weiss has unilateral authority to bring charges in the case.

The FBI sources claim that’s a load of crap. Not only that, “It’s unclear whether authorities are still considering charges against Hunter Biden for money laundering and failing to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.” They should, after all, they charged Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort on that and he got “60 months in prison specifically for FARA violations related to his work in Ukraine, plus another 30 months for other charges including tax and bank fraud and witness tampering.
