Well, we have the first casualty, but surely not the last, of the 2024 election.
Longshot Miami Mayor Franci Suarez has suspended his campaign.
Suarez was under one percent, and did not even qualify for the first debate.
Time to Go
This was a vanity campaign from the start.
Suarez is steeped in corruption rumors as it is, yet he still threw his hat into the ring.
Suarez stated, “I have decided to suspend my campaign for President.”
He noted that “my commitment to making this a better nation for every American remains.”
He further stated that he “will continue to amplify the voices of the Hispanic community – the fastest-growing voting group in our country.
“The Left has taken Hispanics for granted for far too long, and it is no surprise that so many are finding a home in America’s conservative movement.
“Our party must continue doing more to include and attract this vibrant community that believes in our country’s foundational values: faith, family, hard work and freedom.
“Younger voters, Independents, urban voters and suburban women – all of whom I’ve carried in previous elections – among others, should find a comfortable home in the GOP and its policies.”
I would suspect that at least three candidates will be joining him just before or just after the next debate takes place.
The qualifiers go up to 50,000 donors and three percent on polling, and there are only about five people that meet those numbers right now.
I say let’s just get it down to DeSantis and Trump and let them have it… stop playing games.
