CNN and the Democrats are idolizing a GOP turncoat out of Florida who has come forward to complain about Governor Ron DeSantis.
“Lifelong Republican” Ron Filipkowski, whose twitter handle is “RonGOPVet4Biden,” has resigned from his position as vice chairman of the 12th Circuit Judicial Nomination Committee in Florida.
Filipkowski appeared on CNN anchor Chris Cuomo’s show on Tuesday night explaining his decision to resign. He complained about the fact that agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement raided the home of a data scientist who had been fired from the Florida Department of Health in May.
The scientist, Rebekah Jones, had been let go after a dispute with her superiors over reporting COVID data. Jones had been a difficult employee from the start, making trouble for Governor DeSantis by accusing him of manipulating COVID data, and building her own COVID dashboard.
Filipkowski agreed with Jones that the raid was an attempt by the Governor to “intimidate” her and other scientists.
“I watched the video when she tweeted it out right after the incident happened, and I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” the GOP turncoat said, later adding, “I saw what was happening and I couldn’t believe it. Then I read the search warrant, and I’m a criminal lawyer, and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing in the search warrant about how broad it was, about what they were alleging as a supposed crime.”

The GOP turncoat, appointed by former Governor Rick Scott and kept in his position by DeSantis, claimed that the last straw that led to his resignation was when a spokesman for the Florida governor said that DeSantis had no prior knowledge of the raid.
“I can tell you that she is not his favorite person. So FDLE has to know when they’re going to do a raid on her like this, it’s gonna make news. It’s gonna be big news. So the idea that a small law-enforcement agency like FDLE, which reports directly to the governor, would do a raid like this on a high-profile person without clearing it through the governor’s office, there’s just no way,” Filipkowski said.
“Do you believe that your governor has been dishonest about the COVID realities in your state?” Chris Cuomo asked the turncoat.
“Yeah, absolutely. No question about it,” Filipkowski responded.
Is this just another case of a RINO agreeing with the Democrats to get their fifteen minutes of fame and admiration from members of the party? Regardless, it is evident that conservatives are sick of establishment Republicans turning against them in front of the TV cameras of the mainstream media.
