Amro Abu Rida of Gaza claimed to be a journalist. He was arrested by the Israelis for “his involvement in the October 7 massacre.” That started a firestorm of activist fury. “Campaigns on social media have been calling for his release from prison, including by Al Jazeera who accused Israel of kidnapping the journalist.” Under “interrogation,” he revealed he isn’t even a journalist, after all. He’s really “an operative of the Popular Front.” They’re described as “a small terrorist organization.”
Gaza terrorist exposed
On Wednesday, September 4, KAN broke the news that Gaza based reporter Amro Abu Rida “revealed in an IDF interrogation that he is not actually a journalist.”
Under what probably amounts to torture, he revealed that “he was an operative of the Popular Front” and also “admitted to kicking the body of one of the hostages.”
He was one of the Palestinian terrorists who parachuted in from Gaza on October 7, 2023 and created his fair share of mayhem in Kibbutz Nir Oz. The IDF also has evidence to back that up. “Documentation of him shooting in an incident in which soldiers fell.” They were then taken hostage.
When he was arrested in February, every bleeding heart liberal on the planet instantly rushed to his rescue. That would have been proper if he had really been a reporter.
Al Jazeera was especially vocal in attempting to secure his release from prison. They and others sponsored social media campaigns to free the “kidnapped” journalist from Gaza.
The freshly published report notes “Rida explained during his interrogation with the IDF that he had the role of a military operative in the PFLP terror group.” He wasn’t just agreeing to that because he was in excruciating agony and wanted it to stop. He sang like a canary.
Ambushed the IDF
Mostly, Rida explained, “he mostly served as a field documenter,” sort of like a PR agent for the terrorists. He “filmed and edited videos” of their deadly handiwork and used it for recruiting ads.
Once they hit him with the blowtorch, Rida “also reportedly confessed to participating in ambushes against the IDF while troops operated in the Gaza Strip.” That’s the sort of information the activists didn’t want to hear.
When October 7 rolled around, he did his part “in an attack in front of Kibbutz Nir Oz.” The IDF apparently has footage of him in action shooting Israeli soldiers who his friends took home as prisoners.
His brother was also on the team, “found to have participated in the kidnapping of the Bibas family members, who included 9-month-old Kfir and 4-year-old Ariel.” The Gaza native was arrested in February of this year.
Before the IDF tanks rolled into Khan Yunis, Rida was hanging out near the Nasser Hospital. He was outside there when they first spotted him. He attempted to flee the area posing “as an innocent civilian.” Rida managed to get away with it until IDF “besieged the hospital.”
Once they had the Gaza terror command post surrounded and cut off, he was captured and sent to Israel where they put him through the wringer and squeezed out all the information they can. Since they’re going to have activists howling about Rida, they figured he could howl along with them and they can all have something worth howling about. So, they got out the bolt cutters.
