How desperate was the FBI to get the Steele dossier corroborated?
They offered Steele $1 million, but it could not be done.
The shocking information was revealed during the Durham probe.

The trial of Igor Danchenko and John Durham has everything on the line in this one.
He has to get a guilty verdict here or this entire case was for nothing.
On the stand in the case was FBI supervisory counterintelligence analyst Brian Auten.
Durham asked Auten, “On October 21, 2016 [the date of the Carter Page FISA application], did you have any information to corroborate that information?”
Auten responded, “No.”
During this questioning, Auten also revealed a $1 million bounty was on the table for Steele if he could corroborate the evidence presented in the dossier he wrote.
Now, think about that.
We know the dossier was at the heart of the FISA warrants issued to spy on Carter Page.
Yet, the FBI knew the information in the dossier could NOT be corroborated by the very source that put the document together.
If that does not stink, I don’t know what does.
