Shop NowHow did the Chinese manage to get such a foothold in America’s illicit cannabis industry? That’s the big question practically everyone on Capitol Hill has for Merrick Garland. Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and liberals, House and Senate, those for and against the legalization of marijuana… All joined together to sign a letter to the DOJ. Fifty of them.
Chinese pot growers
Fifty members of Congress are demanding “that the Department of Justice share information on illegal marijuana cultivation linked to Chinese nationals across the country.” Even Politico was impressed that it’s such a “bipartisan, bicameral” effort.
The letter, they report, “was signed by a wide range of lawmakers from both parties and both chambers, as well as both sides of the cannabis legalization argument.”
Republican Texas lawmaker Pete Sessions led the charge, along with Maine Democrat Jared Golden and California Republican David Valadao. Also part of the leadership were Independent Senator Angus King of Maine and Republican Senator Joni Ernst, representing Iowa. Sessions happens to be “one of Congress’ most vocal anti-legalization lawmakers.”

Several of his Reefer Madness fearing friends signed off on the letter. It was also endorsed by “lawmakers from legal recreational or medical states who support some cannabis legislation.” Whether you’re for or against it, allowing the Chinese to operate illegally right out in the open is an insult.
The state of Maine is one of the ones especially affected. That’s why “all of Maine’s delegation in the Senate and House signed the letter.” Surprisingly, “none of the co-chairs of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus were involved.”
The message they sent off to Garland “expresses grave concern about the involvement of Chinese organized crime groups in growing cannabis illegally in the U.S.” Their version of the mafia is called the “Triad.” They’re all over the underground reefer trade.

Investigating the involvement
Is the Just Us department actually taking the threat China poses to national security seriously, or simply persecuting deplorable supporters of Donald Trump and radicals who dare to openly pray the Rosary?
The nastygram to Garland demands to know “what resources the DOJ is putting toward investigating the Chinese Communist Party’s involvement in unlicensed marijuana farms.” If any.
Our officials wonder “how many farms the agency is aware of, how state legalization has impacted the spread of such operations, and if any revenue from CCP-funded farms is sent back to China.” Those are all great questions. Garland and his minions have until February 23 to cough up the answers. Apparently, Chinese gangsters have muscled in on the illegal pot trade.

They aren’t officially sanctioned by the Pooh Bear but he lets them get away with it because they act as his “enforcers” to intimidate, kidnap and kill political dissidents on request. Even Xi Jinping is afraid of the Triad, so his requests are always polite ones.
As it stands now, some states have legalized cannabis for medical use, recreational use, or both. Others still consider smoking happyweed a capitol crime. In the states where pot is freely available to all adults, there’s still an incentive to undercut the taxes and sell at deep discounts, while also selling to kids. The Chinese don’t care.
In states where it’s illegal, they sell to everyone and can charge a lot higher prices. Homeland Security already issued a bulletin noting that “more than 270 unlicensed cannabis cultivation sites in Maine were operated by Chinese nationals.” If DHS knows about them, why hasn’t the DOJ done anything about them? Is it part of a deal Hunter Biden made with his buddy, Patrick Ho, the “effing spy chief of China?“
