Shop NowThe political world was shaken up recently when it was announced that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ super PAC, ‘Ron to the Rescue’ has been shut down.
The news came as a significant blow to DeSantis’ presidential aspirations and leaves him lagging far behind Donald Trump in the polls.
JUST IN: Governor Ron DeSantis' $50 million super PAC is shutting down as donors are beginning to jump ship.
According to the Daily Mail, the super PAC will now be backing Donald Trump after they accused the governor of making "rookie s***" mistakes.

A super PAC (political action committee) is a type of organization that is legally allowed to raise unlimited amounts of money from individuals, unions, and corporations.
This money can then be used to support or oppose political candidates by running ads or funding campaigns.
These organizations are not allowed to explicitly coordinate with any specific candidate or campaign but are instead meant to operate independently from them.
John Thomas, founder of ‘Ron To The Rescue’ and Republican strategist, cited a series of “rookie mistakes” as the reason for its closure.
Initially, Thomas had secured substantial financial commitments from high-profile donors however, following an unsuccessful launch on Twitter Spaces in May featuring Elon Musk these donors became more hesitant about their support for DeSantis’ campaign.
This technical glitch portrayed his campaign as incompetent and resulted in major donors adopting a wait-and-see approach before providing further financial backing.
Thomas also noted other missteps such as posting internal documents online and agreeing to debate California Governor Gavin Newsom which he labelled rookie errors due their lack of strategic value for the campaign.
In total only around $20,000 were spent on grassroots efforts which was significantly lower than what was originally planned ($50 million).
At present Donald Trump remains ahead of all other competitors in terms of polling results while Governor DeSantis continues trying fend off rival GOP nominees such as Vivek Ramaswamy who are gaining popularity among conservatives nationwide.
Another significant setback occurred earlier this month when one of DeSantis’ biggest donors Robert Bigelow announced he would no longer provide any additional funds beyond those already donated unless DeSantis adopted a more moderate approach particularly concerning the six week abortion ban in Florida.
