Cubans and Nicaraguans must also make other arrangements. Don’t worry, you still have plenty of time before you get rounded up, he assures. He only made the announcement to gum up the election gears. It appears he’s out to sabotage Kamala Harris in spite, for having him removed like a wart. At the same time, it will make more work for Donald Trump when he takes office. A good day’s work, Joe smiles. Time for a bowl of ice cream and a nap.
Protected status removed
Joe Biden just revoked the “temporary protected status” for migrants from Nicaragua, Cuba, Venezuela and Haiti. Since he’s only around for show, Joe decided to act like he’s doing something.
He doesn’t have to worry about getting re-selected and he’ll be dead before any criminal charges go to trial. That means he can relax and have a little fun tormenting Kamala Harris.
On Friday, just as she was about to take the stage in the battleground of Michigan, where anyone who supports Israel isn’t welcome, Joe held his first ever press conference. The media went spastic trying to figure out how to cover both at the same time without confusing the audience.
After a quick experiment with split screen they decided to abandon Kamala and focus on Joe. While he was stealing her limelight on TV, his minions quietly announced the change in status for the controversial migrants.
Two years ago, Joe’s handlers “rolled out a program geared toward Venezuelans seeking to come to the United States, allowing them to temporarily live and work in the U.S. as a way to mitigate surges at the border.” They didn’t bother to check if any of them were criminals. Without a choice, overworked Border Patrol agents waved through hundreds of gang members with “protected” status. Most associated with the violent Tren de Aragua faction.
They made similar concessions for Haitians, who currently stand accused of eating pets and wildlife around Springfield, Ohio. Those claims have been “debunked,” allegedly. Even so, they’re such terrible drivers that they’re a menace to society. They’re no longer specially protected.
Screening and vetting
Now that Venezuelan gang members have declared war on the Denver police and taken over Aurora, they have to actually complete the “screening and vetting” they were supposed to comply with as part of their special status deal.
The program that let them in, later extended to Nicaraguans, Cubans and Haitians, required the migrants to “have a sponsor in the U.S., undergo screening and vetting, and complete vaccinations.” There was no follow through on any of those requirements. All Mayorkas cared about was getting them across the border “in an orderly manner” in time for them to vote Democrat this November.
Conservative lawmakers have been vigorously challenging the artificially created loophole since the beginning. “Republicans have argued the administration was misusing parole authority.” As of the end of August, around “530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans had flown into the U.S. under the policy.”
DHS still insists that “the program was intended to be temporary, providing those who arrived the opportunity to apply for other legal status while in the United States.” They never promised an extension.
Ukrainians haven’t been a problem so their protected status parole was renewed. They also granted a renewal to Afghans before they realized how many of them are ISIS members in disguise. They probably won’t be renewed next time.
For now, the affected migrants “will be instructed to apply for another status, leave the U.S. or face deportation.” They’ll apply to stall for time, refuse to budge on their own and wait to see who gets elected before they worry about deportation. If they all vote for Kamala, they might be able to take over America by this time next year.
