Shop NowDemocrats are terrified to learn that “hardline MAGA ally” Kash Patel is up for Christopher Wray’s job as director. The first thing he’s going to do will be an audit of all open cases, to separate the partisan “instigations” from legitimate investigations. Along with that, he’s expected to shut down what remains of the “Hillary Clinton Fan Club” unit responsible for “Crossfire Hurricane.” Patel still holds a serious grudge against Christopher Steele.
FBI gets loyal director
The most important thing about Kash Patel’s appointment as FBI director is that he’s a proven Trump loyalist.
Democrats were counting on a tradition which would keep Chris Wray on the job until 2027 but it’s not going to work. Weeding out the anti-conservative Deep State takes priority.
Democrats are desperately clinging to hope that Patel will “face a difficult path to Senate confirmation.” His path may not be all that difficult. With Republicans in the majority all the way around, they already issued public agreement to allow Trump to make “recess appointments” which don’t require Senate confirmation.
Even if Patel does need full Senate approval to get the FBI director job, Republicans have also agreed in principle to set aside personal differences to quickly ratify Trump’s picks.
Patel has been vocal for years, proving himself “aligned with Trump’s goal to roll back the Deep State.” He even wrote a book about it. When Trump wrote an endorsement for the book jacket, he promised to “use this blueprint to help us take back the White House and remove these gangsters from all of government!”
The FBI has always been Deep State HQ, ever since J. Edgar Hoover started the bureau with a major collection of blackmail files on everyone in politics.

Target media members
Patel really terrifies liberals because his “distrust of the FBI and the broader intelligence community” is only the beginning. Last year, Patel vowed “to target members of the media and government officials.” That’s a whole new ballgame.
Patel is out to “find the conspirators not just in government, but in the media.” Progressives can’t raise diversity issues because Kash is “the child of Indian immigrants.” He’s also a “native of New York.”
While working as a prosecutor in Florida, he picked up a reputation for holding “deep animosity for Justice Department prosecutors.” He also knows how to pick his battles. According to Michael Caruso, who once led the Southern District of Florida office, “Patel avoided filing motions he would likely lose.” That makes for excellent credibility.
As FBI director, he’ll be happy to turn over to Congress all the evidence Chris Wray and Merrick Garland have been frantically trying to hide.
Back when Patel was working for Devin Nunes on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, “he was tasked with spearheading the panel’s investigation into Moscow’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.” That’s the one where the FBI tried to blame Hillary Clinton’s collusion with Russia on Donald Trump. Her campaign hired Christopher Steele to fabricate a whole dossier full of dirt. It was all fiction. Despite its dubious origin, Steele’s information was used to get a secret wire tap on Trump associate Carter Page.
Patel wrote the memo which alleged “that the Steele dossier played ‘an essential part‘ in justifying the surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in the Russia investigation.” Since then, he’s been proven totally right but the Democrats continue to raise all the FBI defending speculation which was since debunked in open court. Progressives may have a short memory but conservatives don’t.
