Michigan’s authoritarian Governor Gretchen Whitmer is busted once again ignoring the rules that all of the regular people have to follow.
As is customary with Democrats and despots, the rules don’t apply to them. While average Americans are required to wear masks in Washington, D.C. unless actively eating or drinking, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was photographed at a “swanky” DC bar over the weekend maskless.
The Democrat governor, who has lost much of her popularity during the pandemic over her increasingly authoritarian measures in her home state, is apparently still very popular among the elites in Washington, D.C., as she hung out with a group of friends in a standing room only area of a popular bar, actively defying DC’s mask mandate.

“Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer (D.) was spotted late Friday night without a mask in the standing-room only area of a popular Washington, D.C., cocktail bar, hours before she pulled out of an early-morning canvas for flailing Democratic Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe,” the Washington Free Beacon reported.
“Whitmer was scheduled to join Arlington Democrats on Saturday for a door-knocking campaign in Rosslyn, Virginia, to promote McAuliffe, who is facing Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin in a hotly contested race. Whitmer campaign communications director Maeve Coyle said a “schedule change” prevented the governor from attending McAuliffe’s campaign event,” the news outlet added.

This isn’t the first time she has been caught defying pandemic-related measures while enforcing them on her own constituents, and it certainly won’t be the last.
