Breaking: Liz Cheney Challenger Wins Big

Congresswoman Liz Cheney (‘R’-WY) seems to be in some pretty serious trouble now. Harriet Hageman, the lead Republican contender seeking to Primary Cheney has overwhelmingly won a straw poll conducted by the Wyoming Republican State Central Committee according to the Casper Star-Tribune. In the straw poll 71 or the 74 committee members cast votes in what largely amounts to an expression of the party’s support and confidence, given that GOP bylaws forbid the party from ‘endorsing’ a primary candidate. The results for Chenezy were absolutely devastating. Of the 71 votes submitted, Hageman won 59 of them, Liz Cheney only took away six. The rejection of the anti-Trump RINO by her own party leadership in Casper seems to be complete.

I think it’s a good sign,” Hageman said of the vote, per the Star Tribune. “It’s not an endorsement, but these are the county activists.”

“There will be lots of polls over the next eight months, and they will all show different things,” she added.

Hageman has been endorsed by President Donald Trump and presented as an alternative to the heiress of the Cheney political dynasty.

The Next Stage of The Rapid Cheney Implosion

Since Liz Cheney’s momentous vote in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump following the January 6th Capitol Riot, the eldest daughter of Fmr. Vice-President Dick Cheney has embarked on ever more extreme efforts to divide the GOP and sway Republicans away from the America First movement and Trump himself. Most egregiously she chose to side with Speaker Nancy Pelosi against House GOP leaders and joined the hyper-partisan witch hunt masquerading as an investigation into the January 6th riot. These efforts have largely failed, cratering Cheney’s standing within the party as Trump’s support among the Republican party and the national support of the overall party continue to grow. Almost immediately Cheney was stripped of her coveted role as the 3rd in command of the House GOP as the chair of the House Republican Conference, to be replaced by Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and in November 2021 she was officially censured by the Wyoming GOP after being notified by key county-level GOP Committees that her membership in the party would “no longer be recognized”.

The final move, one already anticipated by her fellow RINO and token member of Pelosi’s Star-Chamber-eque Committee Rep. Adam Kinzinger who announced his retirement in the face of imminent defeat in 2022, is to defeat Cheney in the upcoming primary, forcing her to run as an independent, if at all.
