Shop NowThe Georgia Bulldogs football team won its championship five months ago.
For some reason, the invitation to celebrate it at the White House only went out this month.
Nobody from the White House appears to have even contacted the team for viable dates for a visit.
If they had, they would have known the June date that was set aside was not possible for the Bulldogs, so the invitation for the team was turned down by Georgia.
Too Busy, Joe, Sorry
There has been a lot of flack about the team not getting the invitation earlier.
Some were even saying that it was because Georgia is a southern state, so Biden was in no rush to get them into the White House.
Keep in mind, Georgia did not get to visit during their last championship because of COVID, so this is now two visits they are going to miss.
When they received the invitation this time, the school’s athletic department stated, “The University of Georgia first received on May 3 an invitation for the Bulldog football team to visit the White House on June 12.
“Unfortunately, the date suggested is not feasible given the student-athlete calendar and time of year.”
Supporters of Biden or not, it is a shame these players are going to miss out on this opportunity.
That, of course, falls on Joe because he appears to have a staff that is completely inept at everything they do.
