She had just finished work and was on her way home when she was shot and killed.
Yet, we have not heard a peep from Democrats or liberals, nor from Black Lives Matter, about this loss of life.
They Don’t Care
Jordan Neely was a man that had a record as long as his arm.
He had more than three dozen charges on his sheet, was clearly mentally ill, but he was allowed to continue to go out in public and threaten people.
That behavior is what led a Marine to put him in a headlock until authorities arrived.
Unfortunately, Neely died as a result of that headlock, which, because it was a white man that put him in the headlock, created national outrage among liberals and Democrats.
Areanah Preston was a Chicago police officer with three years on the job, and she was going to receive her master’s degree next weekend.
A group of teenagers saw her by herself, jumped out of their car, weapons drawn, and shot and killed her, more or less an assassination, for simply being a black woman in a police uniform.
When officers arrived, she was motionless in the yard, and they scooped her up and took her to a local hospital, where she died.
Rioting took place over Neely, but not a tear was shed for Preston.
I am not saying the death of Neely was right, but I would say that priorities are a bit screwed up here.
Our cities are being torn apart because of people like Neely and George Floyd, but when a promising young black life is taken in the streets, nobody seems to care.
They only care if the crime is white on black or police on black, not black on black, especially if the victim is a cop.
How many black children are shot and killed in big cities every week in this country, and nothing happens.
They pick the worst of the worst to hold up and literally make monuments to.
It’s shameful… truly shameful, and it is why I will never respect the BLM movement.
