Shop NowIt would appear that Fox News has decided not to promote from within rather than bring in a new name.
The good news for Trump supporters is that someone many thought would be fired over Dominion is actually getting promoted.
Reports are popping up that it will be Sean Hannity sliding into the 8:00 p.m. time slot that Tucker previously held.
Shaking Up the Lineup
While nothing has been set in stone, it would seem that Fox is just going to move some pieces around to try to regain the trust of its core viewership.
Now, this story originally broke from the Drudge Report, which has become a leftwing rag, so I am not putting much faith in it until I see some proof.
Regardless, Drudge reported, “FOXNEWS is preparing to announce an ambitious new schedule, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, a schedule where ever [sic] hour of primetime will change!”
“TOP SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE: ‘IT’S OUR BOLDEST AND MOST FEARLESS LINE-UP EVER’…”
When Medaite followed up on the story, Fox News stated, “No decision has been made on a new primetime line-up and there are multiple scenarios under consideration.”
This is going to be a tall order for Hannity, as that time slot has been bleeding viewers ever since Tucker got fired.
Hannity is now trailing Rachel Maddow in his time slot, behind 1.86 million to 1.72 million viewers each night.
Carlson was averaged more than three million viewers an evening during the entire first quarter of the year, so Hannity will be expected to almost double his current viewership.
