Trump JR’s Girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle Joins Senator on the Campaign Trail in Battleground State

The announcement came down today: Kimberly Guilfoyle will be serving as national chair of Retired Navy SEAL and Former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens’ US Senate Race. Former Governor Greitens and Guilfoyle were seen at the Winter White House at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend of April 10th during the annual Republican National Committee Spring Donor’s Retreat, where most of the deepest pockets supporting the party were present. According to KRDO

“Two donors who attended Trump’s dinner speech at the oceanside club said Guilfoyle and Greitens were effusive in their praise of the 45th president. A spokesman for Greitens did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”

Given Kimberly Guilfoyle’s high-profile and extremely popular romance with Donald Trump, Jr. this is making waves.

President Trump has yet to formally endorse Greitens, although with Guilfoyle heading the team this is no doubt forthcoming. KRDO reported that a source near Trump suggested he would endorse Gov. Greitens just to irritate Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, which admittedly wouldn’t be out of character.

“I am honored to have Kimberly’s support,” Greitens said in a statement. “Her work on behalf of President Donald J. Trump was unmatched. We know the Democrats will come after this campaign, just like they came after President Trump.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt is the leading opponent in the upcoming primary for Greitens, however, the seat once held by Roy Blunt could see primary attempts by US Reps. Jason Smith, Ann Wagner, Vicky Hartzler and Billy Long.

A Common Pain From Accusations And a Common Ally in Guilfoyle

President Trump may also choose to support the former Governor out of a sense of comaraderie having both faced down charges of sexual harrassment and campaign misconduct. Where Greitens resigned to fight his battle and is looking for a comeback, Trump faced the charges head on and survived mulitple congressional investigations by a hostile partisan legislature and two impeachement trials. Assuming of course that Gov. Greitens was found by Trump’s own political team to have truly been exhonerated (Guilfoyle’s involvement leaves little doubt there) he could find a very sympathetic shoulder to lean on with the 45th President.

“We hope the truth continues to come out in this race, and that the mainstream media will report it,” Gov. Greitens told Fox. “After a 20-month investigation by the Missouri Ethics Commission, they came out and said that we are completely exonerated. They found no evidence of any wrongdoing by Eric Greitens.” Sounds famliar doesn’t it?
