I am sure all the big names will be there, and so will Donald Trump.
So expect a massive meltdown on the left when Trump shows up in Paris for the event.
He’s Going
In April 2019, the entire world was stunned when video of flames shooting from the roof of the historic cathedral showed up on the evening news.
The roof of Notre Dame collapsed, with much of the structure being destroyed.
Thankfully, the cathedral’s vaulted stone ceiling protected it from even more damage, but make no mistake about it—the damage was considerable.
According to the investigation, the fire was caused by either a cigarette or a short circuit in the electrical system of the cathedral.
Five years later, the cathedral is finally repaired and ready for public view again, and Donald Trump will be there for it.
Trump posted, “It is an honor to announce that I will be traveling to Paris, France, on Saturday to attend the re-opening of the Magnificent and Historic Notre Dame Cathedral, which has been fully restored after a devastating fire five years ago.
“President Emmanuel Macron has done a wonderful job ensuring that Notre Dame has been restored to its full level of glory, and even more so. It will be a very special day for all!”
It will be rather interesting to see the interaction between Trump and Macron, as the French President has not exactly been flattering to Trump since he left office.
I would suspect he will do much the same as Canadian PM Trudeau, however.
He knows he has to deal with Trump over the next four years, so I would expect Macron to tone it down and try to make peace with Trump.
Should make for some interesting TV this weekend.
