North Korean troops fighting for Russia in Ukraine can never be allowed to return home. Those who survive the battlefield are reportedly destined for the “gulag.” Now that they’ve had a taste of freedom, they’ll never be satisfied. Russian troops have the same problem, which is why the North Koreans are there in the first place.
North Korean cannon fodder
No matter what they were told by their North Korean officers, none of the 10,000 troops fighting for Russia will ever go home. As reported by The Mirror, instead, they’ll “get ‘sent to the gulags,‘ an expert has warned.”
They know too much for their own good. That’s why Kim sent over the service members with discipline issues.
Depending on how things go when the North Korean troops are deployed, and what happens now that Donald Trump’s been elected U.S. president, “Kim Jong Un could send more.” According to expert analyst Keir Giles, “if those loaned-out troops are hoping to return home as heroes, they could be in for a rude surprise.” They’re never going to be allowed back.
“If any of them survive that is. With just 10,000 NK troops there, at the casualty rate on the Russian side, that’s about a week.”
“There’s a good reason why Russia has kept North Korean troops on its territory for now,” Giles notes. “They’ve had enough trouble with their own Russian soldiers going into Ukraine and realizing how much better life is just living it outside Russia.”
With North Korea under heavy sanctions, citizens have learned to live on a diet rich in grass clippings.
Won’t be allowed
Those individuals, the expert predicts, “are unlikely ever to be allowed to return home now they have experienced what life is like outside North Korea, even if it is in regions of Russia itself.”
Russia is already better than anything the North Korean soldiers ever experienced. When they discovered porn on the internet they were totally overwhelmed.
Kim is smart enough to realize exactly what will happen. “It would be dangerous for the North Korean regime to allow them back to infect others with knowledge of what they have seen.”
They’ve been told their entire lives that they already have the absolute best of everything the world has to offer. Because Kim is so generous and gracious. There’s no way Kim can allow the returning soldiers to call him a liar.
The real scenario is a lot more grim. “We might instead see a return to the kind of purges that were carried out against the Red Army in 1945 when they returned from Europe.”
Large parts “were encircled and sent to the gulags.” Instead of a big parade in Pyongyang, the North Korean soldiers will be buried under 100 foot deep snow drifts in Siberia.
