Under the Obama Administration changes were made to the Former Presidents Protection Act, changes that the Democrats are now incredibly livid about. Under the new act of 2012 signed into law by President Obama certain limitations on the length of Secret Service protection for former Presidents and their spouses and children are eliminated. Allowing: “former Presidents and their spouses for their lifetimes, except that protection of a spouse shall terminate in the event of remarriage; and children of a former President who are under age 16.”
President Trump before leaving office, expanded protection to his adult children, their spouses and high ranking members of his administration for an additional six months. And why would he do something like that? It isn’t like prominent and high ranking Democrat leaders have been urging their followers to aggressively mob President Trump’s supporters or anything right?
Honestly, what possible justification could President Trump have for extending protection to his ADULT children (who can totally take care of themselves, eh comrades?) It isn’t like foreign enemies of the US placed hits or fatwas on them right?

Many of the other threatening comments are written in Persian and mention Qassem Soleimani.”
In 2019 the Washington Examiner reported that President Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. were the number 1 and number 2 recipients of all death threats against public figures.
They wrote,
“Anyone who supports my father is a target,” he wrote. He named a few who have been threatened and harassed: Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Paul’s aide Sergio Gor; Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise and others injured in the June 2017 baseball field shooting assault; girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle; brother Eric Trump and sister Ivanka Trump; former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen; former spokeswoman Sarah Sanders; top policy aide Stephen Miller; Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell; and Vice President Mike Pence.”
“After the election, I became the guy who receives the second highest number of death threats in the country (according to the Secret Service, second only to my father).”
Donald Trump, Jr. detailed the endless threats to his family in his book “Triggered”. “These people are so irrational, hysterical, upset, and out looking for enemies. I should know,” he wrote. “I became one of their top targets.”

As riots in Portland, Oregon all across Missouri and even now in Plano, TX continue to rage and the hatred against the Trump family shows no sign of diminishing as President Trump’s efforts and his children accelerate their efforts to support the GOP in the upcoming 2022 election. Donald Trump Jr. and Kim Guilfoyle have shown intentions to re-enter the political field even, thus far Ivanka and Jared Kushner, Eric and Lara Trump have shown less likelihood to seek political office.
In the barely restrained Cold Civil War which threatens to break out in a true conflict any day now, the Trump family’s security is essential and we should add.. troublingly temporary. Luckily as an independently wealthy family six months time has been enough for them to make their own arrangements while the Democrats writhe and gnash their teeth that the government is facing a bill to address the hatred the Democratic-Socialists stirred in their own base for four years.
