Audio of a horrifying crime was made public.

A Washington woman was being attacked, then buried alive.

It was all caught on audio as a 9-1-1 worker tried to get her help.

Violent Kidnapping

Chae An and Young An were estranged but apparently got into an argument over finances.

Chae showed up at her house, bound her with tape, allegedly stabbed her at some point, gagged her, then threw her in his car and buried her alive.

While the assault was taking place, Young managed to call 9-1-1 on her Apple watch, capturing parts of the attack on tape.

At the end of the tape, it suddenly goes silent, then a few minutes later, you hear police enter the home.

Nearby home surveillance videos captured Chae narrowly avoiding the police just as they were headed to Young’s home, having been sent by the 9-1-1 operator.

Young managed to escape the hole where Chae had buried her, then found a good Samaritan who called the police for her.

When the officers arrived, she was hiding behind a shed, running to the officers when she recognized they were law enforcement.

Police later found Chae in the wooded area where he attempted to bury his wife alive, and he was taken into custody.

Chae An pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree domestic violence kidnapping, and first-degree domestic violence assault.
