There was considerable outrage among elected Republicans that the FBI decided to raid Donald Trump’s home.
That outrage was only elevated after the warrant was released.
It revealed that the DOJ invoked the Espionage Act, basically saying Trump is a spy.
Now Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is looking to repeal the act over how it was abused in this case and throughout history, in his eyes.
Must End
Paul posted on Twitter, “The espionage act was abused from the beginning to jail dissenters of WWI.
“It is long past time to repeal this egregious affront to the 1st Amendment.”

If you are not a member of Truth Social, Trump also obliterated the DOJ and FBI.
He wrote, “Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn’t need to ‘seize’ anything.
“They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago.
“It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request…
“They could have had it anytime they wanted—and that includes LONG ago.
“ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ASK.
“The bigger problem is, what are they going to do with the 33 million pages of documents, many of which are classified, that President Obama took to Chicago?”
FBI leadership is banking on Democrats staying in control, the same way it did in 2016 when it thought Hillary was a lock to win the presidency.
This weekend, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) revealed that he has 14 whistleblowers lined up for when Republicans take control.
Director Wray, enjoy the time you have left in your post because that will be over soon enough.
