Senate RINOs aren’t even trying to hide it anymore, they just don’t care about standing up for their base. When they were needed on the floor of the Senate for a vote on an amendment that would have defunded Joe Biden‘s remaining vaccine mandates, four Republicans failed to show up, thus ensuring the amendment’s failure.
While the Supreme Court has blocked OSHA’s vaccine mandate for large employers, there are still other vaccine mandates being enforced by the federal government against four groups of Americans: medical workers, federal employees, federal contractors, and military personnel.
The Senate was set to vote on Senator Mike Lee’s (R-UT) amendment to the continuing resolution, which would have defunded the remaining vaccine mandates. But, thanks to RINO Senators Mitt Romney (R-UT), Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Richard Burr (R-NC), that vote failed 46-47.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had set the vote threshold for the amendment to a majority, so even two of the RINOs could have helped pass the amendment. But many have speculated that Schumer may have changed the threshold to 60 if Republicans had enough votes to pass with a majority. However, according to Breitbart, “Democrats broke and voted to defund Biden’s private employer mandate the last time they voted on vaccine mandates. This could have put more pressure on Democrats to support the defunding of Biden’s vaccine mandates.”
Senator Lee spoke out after the vote, and shared his Senate floor speech demanding the defunding of vaccine mandates on Twitter, writing: “Federal vaccine mandates are immoral.”

Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Jon Tester (D-MT) voted in December of 2021 for a Congressional Review Act resolution to defund the private employer vaccine mandate, but voted against Senator Lee’s amendment.
Alongside Senator Mike Lee, Senators Roger Marshall (R-KS), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Mike Braun (R-IN), Rand Paul (R-KY), and Ted Cruz (R-TX) have led the fight to defund Joe Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates.
Responding to the failed vote and the RINOs despicable actions on Twitter, Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) tweeted: “Missing R’s keeping vax mandates alive? Romney (UT), Inhofe (OK), Burr (NC), & Graham (SC). No excuses – they should all be shamed. Now – EVERY @SenateGOP should be held accountable for voting to fund this government. Watch, count the votes, then act.”

Daniel Horowitz, a senior editor at the Blaze, also responded, tweeting: “Imagine Burr, Inhofe, Romney and Graham thinking that they had something more important than defeating sickening mandates on human bodies. If they don’t want to be there for the most important votes they should resign.”
