Republicans Take Majority Wins [Info]

When Donald Trump takes his rightful place in the White House, he’ll have a Republican Senate majority to back him up. The House split is still undecided but the chance for a conservative majority seems promising there, too.

Republicans take the Senate

It’s certain that Republicans have at least 52 seats in the Senate, with a few more likely to be added. Democrats turned green when West Virginia elected Republican Jim Justice to fill the slot vacated by Joe Manchin.

When they saw that the numbers indicated a landslide, they started fainting. It was only the beginning of trend.

Up in Ohio, Republican Bernie Moreno beat the Democrat incumbent Sherrod Brown. With votes still to be counted it looks a lot like Republican Tim Sheehy is expected to defeat Montana’s current Senator Jon Tester. The Senate race in Pennsylvania was just as exciting.

The latest reports note, “GOP challenger Dave McCormick was edging out Democratic Sen. Bob Casey, just as Eric Hovde was leading Dem Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin and Mike Rogers led Elissa Slotkin in Michigan.

Meanwhile, in Nevada, “Sam Brown trailed Democrat Senator Jacky Rosen by a fraction of a point.” Democrats where hoping to pick up more seats to cushion their razor’s edge of control in the Senate but those hopes went spiraling down in flames as the night went on.

With Donald Trump heading up the administration, you can expect a whole bunch of changes. Ones that liberal progressives will be horrified by. You can forget any action on “climate change,” for instance.

It’s certain that Republicans have at least 52 seats in the Senate.

Back the Trump agenda

As soon as everyone gets settled in to their new offices, the Senate will begin a frenzy of rubber stamping. Trump should have no problem at all getting confirmation for any of his cabinet level choices.

He can have Merrick Garland turkey-walked from the DOJ offices and send Christopher Wray off to go fishing for fish instead of dragging conservative Christians who pray the rosary into his net.

Republican control of the Senate also “means that major backing for the Trump agenda” is virtually guaranteed. Things like “keeping the courts politically neutral, ending the migrant nightmare, cutting taxes, fueling energy production, containing inflation and speeding up economic growth.

Main street America cares a whole lot more about those issues than diversity or reparations.

A majority of Republicans in the House would be nice but not as crucial with conservatives in charge of the upper chamber. “Learning who controls the next House of Representatives may take days, but the GOP flipping the Senate guarantees the country won’t take another hard left turn.

Another big agenda item will be taking a stance to rein in rampant crime. With repeat shoplifters finally being treated as felons and all the illegal aliens mass deported America will start looking greater again day by day.
