One Republican representative wasn’t afraid to let Joe Biden know exactly what the American people are thinking about his failed regime.
During Joe Biden’s dumpster fire of a State of the Union speech, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) delivered the loudest — and most well-deserved — heckling, reminding Biden that he is responsible for the deaths of 13 U.S. service members who were killed during the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.
According to reporting by The Associated Press, “It was just the latest breach of decorum for a presidential address, an annual event where unruly behavior by lawmakers has become almost expected. Republican Rep. Joe Wilson shouted ‘you lie!’ at President Barack Obama during a joint speech to Congress in 2009. Eleven years later, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped up a copy of President Donald Trump’s speech while standing behind him.”
This time, many Americans see the “breach of decorum” as well-deserved. Biden took no responsibility for his failures during his State of the Union speech. Rather than actually discussing the serious problems that are going on in the country right now, the speech sounded more like a campaign speech about what he plans to do in the future. So, Boebert decided to remind him of one of the many horrific things that happened on his watch.
As Joe Biden was discussing soldiers who have suffered and died in Iraq and Afghanistan, specifically talking about those who may have suffered from toxic exposure injuries from military burn pits (which were used extensively in the two Middle Eastern countries), Boebert heckled him.
“A cancer that put them in a flag-draped coffin—” Biden started to say, when Boebert yelled, “You put them in. Thirteen of them!”
Unfortunately for her, the media has found the perfect way to spin this to make her look extra-terrible. Biden had briefly mentioned his son as one of the soldiers who may have gotten cancer because of the burn pits (Beau Biden passed away from brain cancer in 2015). Now, the mainstream media and the left are saying that Lauren Boebert specifically chose the moment that Biden was talking about his son to heckle him.
