Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard has criticized the Biden administration for promoting “dangerous” puberty-blocking hormones on “transgender” children.
Gabbard made the accusation on Twitter, claiming the administration is promoting child abuse through a drug treatment protocol that has been acknowledged by the FDA as having devastating health impacts on children.
Gabbard posted a video to Twitter in which she says:
“The FDA made a disturbing, but not at all surprising announcement just a few days ago about children’s health. Now, if you haven’t heard about it, or, if you missed it, it is because the mainstream media and the Biden-Harris administration have been completely silent on it. This warning that the FDA issued was basically saying that puberty blockers can cause serious health risks for our kids. Unfortunately, at almost the exact same time the FDA issued this warning, Biden-Harris administration officials were making public statements actively promoting the use of puberty blockers and irreversible surgeries for kids.”
“Now, let’s be clear: this administration is dangerously promoting child abuse,” she added.

The Biden administration’s Health and Human Services department states that “gender-affirming care” can include “gender-affirming surgeries” which can entail “‘top’ surgery — to create male-typical chest shape or enhance breasts” or “‘bottom’ surgery — surgery on genitals or reproductive organs.”
“We really want to debase our treatment and to affirm and to support and empower these youth, not to limit their participation in sports and even limit their ability to get gender-affirmation treatment in their state,” Levine stated on MSNBC.
Florida’s Department of Health contended that children 18 years old and younger should not be given puberty blockers or hormone therapy.
“Based on the currently available evidence ‘encouraging mastectomy, ovariectomy, uterine extirpation, penile disablement, tracheal shave, the prescription of hormones which are out of line with the genetic make-up of the child, or puberty blockers, are all clinical practices which run an unacceptably high risk of doing harm,'” Florida’s Department of Health stated.
Harris has been slammed by Gabbard many times before, in fact, she destroyed her remarks Harris made in Berlin, stating:
“My gosh, this is embarrassing. It’s hard to keep track of all of those jumbles of words.”
And then in January she asserted:

FDA has reported that puberty blockers can cause pseudotumor cerebri, otherwise known as idiopathic intracranial hypertension, which can cause symptoms of brain swelling, severe headaches, nausea, double vision, and even permanent vision loss.
Even in light of these health risks, Richard “Rachel” Levine, the assistant secretary of health, claimed that “there is no argument” about “gender-affirming care” among pediatricians and doctors who specialize in adolescents.
“Opponents of LGBTQ equality have targeted trans and queer youth to score political points, all to distract from the fact that they do not have any solutions to the problems that we face today,” he said.
In another context, Fox News host Tucker Carlson has recently shared that “there is always an inverse relationship between the slogan and the reality, so the more they tell you ‘trust the science,’ the more they become intent on forcing you to ‘ignore’ the science.”
