Prior to Title 42 expiring, Mayorkas asked for more time.
He said the administration has a plan in place, but it will take time for it to come to fruition.
Is He Kidding
When Biden first took office, he stated that he wanted to get rid of Title 42.
Mind you, this was a COVID order and we were still in COVID protocols at the time.
This is not to mention that if you are going to end a policy, you should have something in place to replace it.
This administration did not, and now Mayorkas is asking for more time for their plan to take grip.
He stated, “Even after nearly two years of preparation, we expect to see large numbers of encounters at our southern border in the days and weeks after May 11th.
“We are already seeing high numbers of encounters in certain sectors.
“This places an incredible strain on our personnel, our facilities and our communities with whom we partner closely.
“Our plan will deliver results, but it will take time for those results to be fully realized.
“And it is essential that we all take this into account.”
Now, I don’t know about you, but I think they have had more than enough time.
What it is time to do is get this clown removed from office, then kick Joe out in 2024.
