Kari Lake is a name that has been heard more and more since her loss in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election.
As if this wasn’t enough to have her on everyone’s radar, she also recently teased what might be next for her via social media posts and interviews – leading many to speculate that she may be eyeing a U.S. Senate run next year.
Lake already appears to have an advantage should she decide on a Senate run – last month, one survey found that she was ahead of all other possible candidates in a hypothetical 2024 GOP Senate primary by 28 points!
The same survey showed that 38% of registered Arizona Republicans and undeclared voters would vote for Kari Lake, with Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb coming in second place with 10% support.
This is especially impressive considering the fact that no Arizona Republicans have even entered the 2024 Senate primary yet!
Perhaps even more remarkable than these numbers is the fact that Kari Lake has managed to garner such widespread support despite not announcing her plans to run for Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s (I-Ariz.) seat – indicating just how much impact Trump’s endorsement can have on someone’s chances of winning an election!
Indeed, last month’s poll also showed that 47% of voters preferred former President Donald Trump over Gov Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) when it came to who they wanted as their presidential nominee next year – 23 points ahead of his nearest rival.
