Flopping

Joe Biden Was Just Caught Flopping Like a Fish

The wheels are starting to fall off of the Biden-Harris regime and even they’ve had to start admitting it. Biden has been caught flopping on two of his major campaign planks: failing to restore all the treaties that President Trump ended and… get this… restarting construction of the border wall.

That’s right! Reports are coming in from the Biden White House that “The United States appears unlikely to rejoin the 34-nation Open Skies Treaty” according to Defense News and even Biden has had to admit, its’ just as President Trump said: because of “Russian non-compliance”.

And now… the coup de grace: the Department of Homeland Security may be ‘restart’ border-wall construction to close the gaps that have been exploited by illegal immigrants. What?!?!? Let’s break it down:

Biden Flopping On The Open Skies Treaty

A report from the Council on Foreign relations in late January detailed the first Biden Foreign policy priority which was “reversing Trump’s foreign policy moves, which CFR President Richard N. Haass defined as the “Withdrawal Doctrine”. However, reports from Defense News reveal that the State Department has said the Biden White House is “frankly concerned that agreeing to rejoin a treaty that Russia continues to violate would send the wrong message to Russia and undermine our position on the broader arms control agenda.” This is some serious flopping on Biden’s efforts to annihilate the Foreign policy legacy of President Trump.

President Trump completed the United States’ withdrawal from the Open Skies Treaty in December 2020, citing the Russian’s ongoing non-compliance. The treaty allowed unarmed observation aircraft to fly over member nations on short notice without restriction to guarantee compliance with Nuclear non-proliferation treaties. According to National Interest, The list of Russia’s treaty violations is a long one, a few examples they cited are:

  • 2010 Moscow started preventing OST observation flights from approaching to within 10 kilometers of Russia’s border with the Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
  • 2014 Russia’s restriction on OST flight paths over the Russian highly militarized exclave of Kaliningrad, which is located between NATO members Lithuania and Poland on the Baltic Sea, limiting these missions to 500 kilometers in length.
  • 2019 Moscow refused to allow a U.S. OST plane to fly over the Russian Tsentr-2019 strategic-level exercises; the military drills included China and involved upwards of 120,000 troops.

The Director of National Intelligence also wrote, “For years, Russia has used the Open Skies Treaty to collect intelligence on civilian infrastructure and other sensitive sites in America, posing an unacceptable risk to our national security.”

The Biggest Flip-Flop Yet, Biden Finishing the Wall?

It is now widely (and hilariously) reported by the Daily Mail, the Washington Times and even Youtube’s favorite independent journalist Tim Pool! The Biden-Harris regime is reversing course on the Border wall!

The Washington Times reported that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas who has dutifully parroted the “there is no border crisis” false-narrative for weeks, has now said in an ICE session that CBP has submitted plans for the wall moving forward:

“It’s not a single answer to a single question. There are different projects that the chief of the Border Patrol has presented and the acting commissioner of CBP presented to me,” the secretary said.

“The president has communicated quite clearly his decision that the emergency that triggered the devotion of DOD funds to the construction of the border wall is ended. But that leaves room to make decisions as the administration, as part of the administration, in particular areas of the wall that need renovation, particular projects that need to be finished,” he said.

Mayorkas reportedly said that those particular parts include the “gaps,” “gates,” and areas “where the wall has been completed but the technology has not been implemented.”

Biden extremely vocally slammed President Trump’s efforts to secure the border repeatedly ad nauseum throughout his campaign and on February 11th reversed Trump’s order and derided it saying “Building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution. It is a waste of money that diverts attention from genuine threats to our homeland security.”

Biden’s termination of border wall construction was a massive executive overreach, rebuking Congress’ approval of $1.4 Billion in funding for fiscal 2021 approved in December 2020. It now appears that the border crisis of his own making is forcing Biden to walk back painfully and embarrassingly to the truth: walls work and the only way to stop the deluge of illegal immigrants storming our borders is to build the wall and enforce our laws. That loud flopping sound? That’s his Presidency on the ground flailing for its life.
