Joe Biden’s handlers swear up and down that they didn’t do anything at all with the information Iran sent them. They were too afraid of phishing attacks to dare open the attachments so never saw the documents. That doesn’t mean that a reporter or two hasn’t opened their copy. So far, none of it has leaked out from anywhere.
Iran hacked Trump
According to the FBI, several intelligence agencies found out that “Iran attempted to share information” they stole from the Trump campaign. They wanted to hand it to team Biden on a silver platter because they hate Donald Trump more than anyone on the planet.
The Ayatollah “continues to send material to various media outlets” the bureau notes.
A formal joint statement was released on Wednesday by the FBI, Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. “Iranian malicious cyber actors in late June and early July sent unsolicited emails to individuals then associated with President Biden’s campaign,” they write.
The emails from Iran “contained an excerpt taken from stolen, non-public material from former president Trump’s campaign.”
The FBI was quick to admit that their investigation didn’t show anybody actually replied to any of the messages.
A spokesunit for Kamala Harris “condemned the sharing of Trump campaign data but said what appeared to be phishing emails sent by Iran to staffs’ personal emails were ignored.” They’ve been hacked that way before and they’re wary.
Cooperating with law enforcement
The Harris campaign team goes on to note that they aren’t real happy that Iran put them on the spot.
“We have cooperated with the appropriate law enforcement authorities since we were made aware that individuals associated with the then-Biden campaign were among the intended victims of this foreign influence operation.” They would never open a suspicious attachment but you never know what one of Joe’s minions is capable of.
“We’re not aware of any material being sent directly to the campaign,” spokesperson Morgan Finkelstein explains in a statement. “A few individuals were targeted on their personal emails with what looked like a spam or phishing attempt.” They reported them without opening anything. They don’t need help from Iran to sway an election.
“We condemn in the strongest terms any effort by foreign actors to interfere in U.S. elections including this unwelcome and unacceptable malicious activity.”
Trump’s campaign team is taking what the Harris people have to say with a grain of salt. They know Iran has it in for the Deplorable-in-Chief.
“This is further proof the Iranians are actively interfering in the election to help Kamala Harris and Joe Biden because they know President Trump will restore his tough sanctions and stand against their reign of terror.” The joint statement carefully fails to mention “whether any of that information has surfaced publicly.“
