If the FBI and DOJ won’t actually do their job, Congress will step in and handle it for them. South Carolina lawmaker Nancy Mace sat down with Trey Gowdy on Sunday “to discuss the ongoing investigation” or lack thereof, into Biden family crimes.
Does FBI do anything?
Nancy Mace, representing conservative Republicans in South Carolina, joined Trey Gowdy and accused the FBI of “not doing their job.” Ever since the days of Hillary Clinton getting special treatment from the Just Us Department, Americans have been howling about the double standard.
Democrats can simply do no wrong while anything remotely conservative must be stamped into the dust. The way Mace puts it, “if they are unwilling to act, we will do their job for them.”
Everyone in America is on the edge of their seat to see what happens Wednesday. The lawmaker did her part to inform Gowdy’s viewers to mark the event on their calendars. It’s set for 9:00 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, May 10.

She sits on the House Oversight Committee. The FBI needs to be paying close attention, too. When the big day comes they’ll “reveal more evidence that we found from suspicious activity reports and bank records.” It’s expected to be explosive.
“This is very troubling because for years now, as you said, Trey, the left says that no one is above the law. Well put your money where your mouth is and let’s see where this investigation goes.” The big point they plan to make is that the FBI had all this same information and have been sitting on it for years, intentionally doing nothing.
Once Congress got a whiff that something rotten was hiding in the files, they did their best to cover it up and still are. That isn’t stopping the House from getting the evidence elsewhere. They have enough of a pile to make the bureau look bad.
Don’t indict Hunter, yet
Separately, the committee’s chairman, James Comer told Maria Bartiromo that he has a word of advice for Merrick Garland and the Just Us Department. “Do not indict Hunter Biden before Wednesday, when you have had the opportunity to see the evidence that the House Oversight Committee will produce.”
He’s convinced that the DOJ is going to press some token charges that Hunter can easily wave away with a slap on the wrist or less. The FBI thinks they kept a lid on all the really damaging stuff. Comer insists otherwise.
Over the past week or so, there has been one revelation after another in the case of Biden family influence peddling.

As Fox notes, “Mace and Comer’s remarks come after it was announced a whistleblower claims that the FBI and the Justice Department are in possession of a document that shows an alleged elaborate scheme between a foreign national and then-Vice President Joe Biden.” It’s supposed to be strikingly descriptive.
There’s only one big problem. Gowdy pointed out that conservatives have been told the dominoes are falling but so far nothing has budged. They won’t take empty hype seriously for long. He quizzed Mace on “what a realistic expectation would be for what the Oversight Committee could do.” That’s a great question and she had a terrible answer. According to Ms. Mace, “a referral to the Department of Justice would be the right next step.” Gowdy deserves credit for not slapping his forehead on that one. Those rats are already in charge of guarding the cheese.
If there are criminal charges to be brought, some of them need to fall on Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray before anyone will trust the DOJ to investigate DOJ wrongdoing to cover up Biden wrongdoing. They’ll just cover it up again. Gowdy reminded the lawmaker that Republicans are in control of “the appropriations process” It’s time to defund the DOJ.
