Shop NowWhen Tucker Carlson got canned by Fox News, it was quite apparent that his fans were no longer watching Fox News.
The network started to bleed viewers at a record pace.
In mid-July, the network announced its new evening lineup, putting the onus of recapturing those viewers on Sean Hannity.
Well, the experiment has failed.
Bad Ratings
The situation for Fox is not getting better.
In fact, one could say it is getting much worse.
For some reason, even MAGA is no longer loyal to Hannity, and it shows in the ratings.
Hannity, for years, drew about three million viewers a night.
Now, in a better time slot, he is drawing less than two million, handing the number one prime time slot over to Rachel Maddow at MSNBC.
It was not even close, as Maddow drew 2.4 million in the last ratings pull, with Hannity only drawing about 1.95 million.
In July, Hannity has averaged only 1.7 million, a more than 40 percent dropoff from his usual numbers.
TV Newser reported, “Fox News lost 32 percent of its prime-time viewers, 58 percent of viewers in the primetime demographic, 21 percent in daytime viewers, and 41 percent in total day demographic viewers as compared to the week of July 11, 2022.”
Fox News still holds the overall number-one spot, but with these dips, we cannot help but ask, “For how long?”
