Shop NowFulton County DA Fani Willis is out, but not in the way that most of us were hoping.
According to Willis, she has been chased from her home to due threats made against her.
Willis broke the news during a softball interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.
Not Safe
As is typical of Maddow, she gushed over Willis and set her up with a softball question.
Maddow asked Willis how she is handling the “remarkably threatening environment” and “threat of violence” she lives with.
The implication by Maddow was that this is all happening because Willis indicted Trump, yet, oddly enough, I don’t recall hearing of any threats of violence that were made against Willis.
Regardless, Willis responded, “Thank you for asking, not many people ask about what is the personal journey that’s been going on.
“And it really hasn’t been happening in the past year.
“It’s been happening about a month after I took office.
“The threats have certainly been about lots of different kinds of cases that I’ve prosecuted.
“People are very happy with that because of some recent cases that, most of them are racial in nature. It has caused me to leave my home.
“Financially, I’m paying for, you know, my mortgage cause I refuse to give up the home where I raised my children, but also paying for another establishment.
“And I have 24-hour, really, protection around me.
“So, it’s a very, uh, interesting way to live, but it’s well worth it to have the honor of being the first female district attorney in Fulton County.”
Perhaps a more appropriate question would have been to ask Willis why she was paying her lover almost triple what she was paying a RICO expert she hired for the case.
Perhaps she should have asked her about the fraud allegations against her for using grant money to buy office swag and then squeezed out the staffer who exposed it all.
Sorry, Fani, but you are not going to get any sympathy here.
