ICYMI: There were two stunning announcements regarding the upcoming presidential election.
First, Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.), who is polling at less than two percent, decided to run for president.
Second, while not outright endorsing Scott, Musk was very excited about his announcement.
Let’s Go!
Scott made his announcement, stunning the GOP.
We knew there was chatter about this but with his poling numbers, a campaign seemed unlikely.
However, after Scott announced, Musk retweeted the announcement with the caption, “Let’s Go!”
Scott believes that once people get to know him, the support will come.
He stated, “I think after the announcement I think the polls will start to change.
“I think there’s an enthusiasm that will continue to spread throughout the country.
“And we’ll start doing the things candidates do, which will include going back to Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and beyond.
“So we’ll spend the time, stay on the campaign trail, and make sure we have the message that works.”
Scott is well-liked and respected in the GOP, but he just does not have the national profile to overtake Trump or DeSantis.
This, to me, looks like more of a move to get on the winning ticket with a high-ranking position.
