Sources have told media outlets that Trump is hoping to be put in cuffs so he can create a spectacle of his arrest.
I’m the Victim
I never thought conservatives would embrace someone playing the victim card, but that is what we are seeing with Trump and his supporters.
I hate to say it, but this is becoming a very well-orchestrated con by Donald Trump.
He is using the case against him to draw sympathy and rile up voters, so much so that one report has him saying that he hopes he gets shot.
Trump has reportedly told friends that if he were to get shot during his arrest, he believes it would draw so much empathy that he would just coast back into the White House.
Normally I would question reports such as this, but there are a lot of Trump-friendly publications reporting this.
And, as sick as it sounds, it makes sense.
Remember, Trump wanted his supporters to show up and protest, which our experience tell us would draw counter-protesters, which usually results in violence.
Trump knows this, and he is counting on it, relying on his supporters and his enemies to clash to the point that someone takes a shot at him.
This is insane… just literally insane.
