Shop NowDHS Secretary Mayorkas was on the Hill testifying this week.
After hearing his testimony, there are only two conclusions that we can make.
He is either completely delusional or he is a liar.
While the former is a possibility, I think we all know it is the latter.
It’s Secure, Sure
Mayorkas was being questioned about the security of the border.
Now, keep in mind, the reports just came out for FY2022 showing almost 2.4 million encounters.
October numbers were through the roof to get FY2023 started, with more than 230,000 crossings.
We have drugs, gang members, cartels, etc. coming across the border daily.
Yet, when Mayorkas was asked if the border was secure, he stated, “Yes, and we are working day in and day out to enhance security, congressman.”
When FBI Director Wray was asked the same question, he gave a considerably different answer.
He stated, “We see transnational criminal organizations that are sending their drugs here and that are using street gangs here to distribute it. And that contributes to the violent crime crisis here.”
At some point, Mayorkas will held accountable, but thanks to the failed efforts of Mitch McConnell, it will not be now.
