These are not even hidden attacks, but blatant racism that is tolerated merely because the target is a Republican.
The latest being a horrific statement by Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) against Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL).
How Is This Okay?
The comments by Bush were both insulting and racist.
I do not see how they could be described in any way else.
Bush called Donalds a “prop” for being nominated for Speaker of the House.
She also accused him of helping to promote a party that promotes white supremacy…
Working to overturn the 2020 election & embracing Trump MAGA fascism is not you rising, Byron. You’re being used. It helps you politically at the expense of our community. THAT’S what’s shameful.
It’s clear which party promotes white supremacist chaos and which works against it. https://t.co/oriOXObBJi

Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) has also been subject to these types of attacks.
This is far from the first time that Bush has gone on such a rant, yet it continues to be tolerated by leadership on the left.
Based on Hakeem Jeffries’ speech after McCarthy was elected as House Speaker, I would suspect this will be the norm rather than the exception.
