There was a bit of a dustup in Congress recently.
Rep. John Gottheimer (D-N.J.) blasted the 15 Democrats who refused to condemn the Hamas attack against Israel as an act of terrorism.
After Gottheimer called them out, a fellow Democrat spouted off at the mouth, and his comments were not received very well by the Anti-Defamation League.
Anti-Semitic
After the group of Democrats refused to vote in favor of the resolution, the New Jersey Democrat went off.
Gottheimer stated, “Last night, 15 of my Democratic colleagues voted AGAINST standing with our ally Israel and condemning Hamas terrorists who brutally murdered, raped, and kidnapped babies, children, men, women, and elderly, including Americans.
“They are despicable and do not speak for our party.”
Rep. André Carson (D-IN) responded, “He’s cowardly.
“I think he’s not acting in his role as a member of Congress. I think he’s shown himself to be very emotional.
“Like most cowardly people, when you confront them, they’re afraid.
“I’m unafraid of the guy.
“And if he wants to call us despicable, I’m saying he’s a coward and he’s a punk.”
Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt responded in X…

Gottheimer did not back down, adding, “Hamas terrorists brutally murdered, raped, burned alive, and kidnapped innocent babies, children, women, men, and elderly, including Americans.
“Anyone claiming this was ‘military action’ is delusional and complicit in the spike of antisemitism and hate.”
Gottheimer had this one right… they are despicable.
